Deputy Accuses Milei of Involving Argentina in Imperialist War

Buenos Aires, April 8 (NA) – National deputy for the Left Front, Myriam Bregman, raised a point of privilege on Wednesday against President Javier Milei and Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno, accusing them of involving Argentina in an 'imperialist war' started by the United States and Israel, and warning that 'aligning with (Donald) Trump and (Benjamin) Netanyahu is detrimental to the country.'

'The president shamelessly said, 'we are going to win the war' by involving our country in something that is not only illegitimate but also illegal, as it violates basic principles that require passing through the National Congress to make such a decision,' she assured during the session in the Lower House.

'Aligning with Trump and Netanyahu is doubly detrimental to our country,' opined the former presidential candidate and PTS leader.

Regarding the President of the United States, she said he is responsible for attacking oppressed peoples like those of Venezuela and Iran, as well as perpetuating the economic blockade in Cuba.

Meanwhile, regarding Netanyahu, she considers that he is carrying out an 'illegal occupation' in Gaza, equivalent to the one the United Kingdom maintains in the Falkland Islands.

'It is astonishing that with such impunity, President Milei supports a criminal like Netanyahu who has an arrest warrant for genocide and illegal occupation,' lamented Bregman.

In this sense, she considered that the president has a 'extremely servile and dragged' foreign policy.

'What Milei reflects by saying 'we are going to win the war' or supporting Trump when he says he will 'erase an entire civilization' is a disconnection from reality,' she concluded, according to the Argentine News Agency.
